So that one thing I cant stand about my new work? The fricking people driving. When did it become acceptable to drive like people are? No one and I mean no one is putting on a god dam blinker. No one has common courtesy. If you are in someones way god forbid because they will ride your ass, cut you off. And flip you off when you did nothing wrong! Oh you think I am kidding, no siree bob! I am so disgusted by how bad people driving have gotten, I am thinking of looking for different work. I did not know going into this that it would matter to me so much, oh it is so bad that it does matter. I am thankful my company is nation wide so I have many opportunities to choose from. But why do I have to give up a job I love because people are morons and have forgotten that there are rules for driving. Yes there are rules but I saw on the news a few weeks ago that the county said it did not have the resources to enforce traffic, come on really? So unless you are being hurt, robbed, raped, held at gun point you are shit out of luck!
Sooooo long story short, I hate driving, who knew, not me that's who!
Those are my rants for today I hope to actually write for the greater good, more to come

First Blog
My very first blog ever and I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what to write about, since I was a little girl, I have always wanted to be a writer. I started a novel about 20 years ago. And to this day it only has about 1 or 2 chapters. So how do all these women that started writing as adults or when there children left home do it? I know that I have so many stories in my head but how do you let them out and commit to "paper"? Well this is my new journey. Lets see where it takes us.
Today we are going to start by talking about my new job. First off I worked for Safeway for 19 years, really 19 years and 1 day but who's counting? Me that's who, I gave that company my life. Literally. I started out in the deli department, I had a 2 year old and his father and I were in a lose lose relationship. So my bestie had already started working for Safeway and kept urging me to get a job there as well. So the journey began, that is my life at Safeway, after 5 months in the deli department, I came home one day from work and my son's father was not at his best, I was hurt and to save myself but more importantly my son, I walked into work the next day and told my boss I needed to move away because of my safety and she said where to! So I moved to longview and worked in the seafood department, then eventually back to Portland as a seafood manager then meat wrapper/cutter, then after almost 9 years in meat I got bored and went on the hunt for something new for me at Safeway, so my last 9 years at Safeway I became a receiving clerk and I thoroughly enjoyed most of those years until Cerberus bought Safeway and ruined any chance I had at retiring from Safeway, things changed and I was able to leave Safeway 1 day after my 19th year anniversary, all because of a vendor that I had known for almost 10 years. She let me know she was taking on a new role at her company and her position was open, I really struggled with the decision to leave. As much as I hated my job at the time I felt like I owed them somehow. I used to bring my 3-4 year old in to work when I had babysitting issues. As a matter of fact I ran into someone who worked with me during those years and the 1 thing she brought up right away was to ask how my son was doing because she remembers that sweet little boy who would sit and color or play with the live clams when I was a seafood manager, good times she said.
So now I am working for advantage solutions on a team representing Pepsi Co, which really just breaks down to this, I rep for Gatorade and Quaker and about 5 other things but Gatorade and Quaker are my bread and butter. I go from store to store in my territory and make displays and check on product. Easy piesy. And kinda fun. I have been doing this for 9 months now and it is super enjoyable except for one thing...
